November 22, 2014, 01:36:30 pm Luna L: Oh that's not even half as bad as when Joad called him racist.
Ok background on Joad is he's actually pretty cool, he just like pissing people off,  kind of like a class clown that doesn't ever stop pushing people's buttons.
So he went too far with the racist thing, and he got a 24 hour ban for it.
But for iron man, that wasn't enough. He wanted Joad banned forever, and he felt like the mods didn't care about what he had to say, so he got super mad and I tried convincing him to stay, because I'm nice and I told him Joad always likes to mess around, and he got punished for it etc, but he was like the mods don't respect me, this is unfair, I'm not wanted blah blah blah an he left.
It was a bit overdramatic.

November 21, 2014, 12:54:51 am severus4ever: Lol, I thought he was pretty sweet, but I didn't realize that he was that much of a ....

November 10, 2014, 08:16:01 pm Luna L: I think it just evolved and someone brought up Harry Potter and iron man, I really hate that kid, thought he could just shut me down at any point in the debate by saying "well JK says he's a hero, good thing I agree"
And I was like wow you jerk, way to be an ****.
So anyway, don't debate him

I knew the one about Tom, yeah. :D

Did you know that Daniel Radcliffe used to tap his wands like a drumstick so much, that over the course of the series they made an estimate of about 70 for him?

I swear neither actor actually read the books.

Oh well I hope you get to finish it then!
I finished Allegiant just under a month ago, and the ending was so sad but so perfect too.

I second that Nia. That's exactly how I feel. But I can't deny that my teen years have been captured by THG, I'm obsessed. :D But still, HP, just about.

Um, yeah, proud Potterhead and very anti-Twilight myself. But I disagree that you can't be a fan of both - many of my friends are (I have had many a debate with them in which I've told them how much I think it sucks; they got the picture eventually).
What I really love to read are the arguments some fans get out as to why Twilight is better than Harry Potter. My particular favourite is "JK Rowling copied Stephenie Meyer", in regards to the very weak link between Sirius Black, an animagus dog, and Jacob Black, a werewolf. Apparently JK stole the surname and the power from Stephenie. Point: Sirius is first mentioned in a book in 1997; Jacob, not until 2005. Case and point. Always makes me laugh, that one.

The Hunger Games / Re: Hunger Games vs. Harry Potter

This is a tough one for me. Harry Potter is and was my childhood, but Hunger Games is my teenage years (I'm 16). Both are my biggest fandoms by a LOOOOOOOOONG way, but my heart says Harry Potter, if only because it transfixed me as a little girl, and that magic (teehee) still lives in me now. It's like a part of me, now, I've loved it so long, so I'll have to go with that.
Of course, the Hunger Games still rules too. This is a really hard question for me, but interesting nonetheless. :)

The Hunger Games / Re: Hunger Games vs. Catching Fire?
« on: December 30, 2013, 02:30:42 pm »
Catching Fire in both cases. The second book's my favourite, because it has Finnick (my fav character) and plenty Peeta/Katniss moments to go around.
The movie was also a million times better than the first, I mean I loved the first movie, but Catching Fire blew it out of the water! Just... gah perfection!

Percy Jackson / Re: Age
« on: December 30, 2013, 02:25:32 pm »
Well, in the 1st book Percy was 12, and the Great Prophecy centres around what happens when he does turn 16. But of course, when they messed up the movies, in the first MOVIE Percy's, like, 17 (I won't complain, I mean, Logan), so they increased the prophecy age to 21 or whatever so it does correspond to the time period in the books, I guess. Plus it gives them more time to make the movies, I guess. Maybe they won't ruin the rest of the series, given more time?

Just my thought process when I thought about it after seeing Sea of Monsters. Hope that helps, Sarah! :)

Gone / Re: Questions about GP
« on: December 17, 2013, 10:49:25 am »
Thanks nimb, my next goal is to make it bigger
In all fairness, I only think GP is that big because it was mentioned by the author in an interview, in one of the books. Plus it's almost 4 years old now, and it's such a small fandom that we all flock to the same place, you know? I don't think there are many other fansites for Gone, and they certainly aren't as big and didn't get advertised.
Problem with HP is that it's so popular, so there are millions of different fansites and it's hard to get it as widely noticed. Having said that, I think you're doing a good job bringing more people in! :)

It's a fansite for Gone fans, like this but a billion times bigger.
That's actually where I came across this site, thanks to Nia!

Kath will be so proud of me!
Nia I'm so proud!
(The final book in the trilogy came out in October, and I'm almost finished. If I'm overly emotional for a bit that might be why :P)
