Ok background on Joad is he's actually pretty cool, he just like pissing people off,  kind of like a class clown that doesn't ever stop pushing people's buttons.
So he went too far with the racist thing, and he got a 24 hour ban for it.
But for iron man, that wasn't enough. He wanted Joad banned forever, and he felt like the mods didn't care about what he had to say, so he got super mad and I tried convincing him to stay, because I'm nice and I told him Joad always likes to mess around, and he got punished for it etc, but he was like the mods don't respect me, this is unfair, I'm not wanted blah blah blah an he left.
It was a bit overdramatic.

It just has that image, but that doesn't mean its true. Of course other adults are going to believe it, but its still not true.

I'm not really religious, so no you haven't offended me but I have heard stories of adults thinking it was demonic and so on. I knew a girl whose grandmother (who was extremely religious) banned her from watching the movies etc. in her house because it encouraged witchcraft which goes against the idea of God or something.

Uhhhhh...

I don't agree. I don't want to offend anyone (but then again if you've joined here why would you think that?) but I thought Harry Potter was about preaching love and friendship, and overcoming adversity and prejudice, not going against God and using wickedness to do so.

I guess there's always another way of looking at things, though...

Well you certainly aren't going against my religion(christianity),but I get the guy is a pastor and all. I agree that adults exaggerate,but I really can argue with the fact that Harry Potter isn't influential. I had this constant dream about Harry Potter for like 4 months straight. I did everything I could to go against MY parents and read the books. I even daydreamed that I was Harry for moments. It definitely is influential,but I get what your trying to say. Everyone should just stop talking about HP if they dont know it. especially parents... iF they read the book,they wouldnt say, its all about black magic,evilness,sorcery,thats just bullcrap.

My mom made me watch this episode of how Harry Potter goes against religious beliefs and i am guessing a bunch of your parents are making you watch this too?If they aren't then i am just going to guess that my mom overreacts with these types of things. There was this weird guy preaching saying:

that there is this woman who cared to write 7 books about harry potter.
It is filled with treacherous things that goes against christianity and even other religions
It is influencing young minds of children
It should be stopped
Children should not read it
Blah Blah Blah,it is evil

Really People?That was just stereotypical. When I think of harry Potter I do not think of Black magic and everything,I think of friendship actually and amazingness....(i know,its not a word,i get it)
So there is this guy,who probably never even touch the front page of the book,and he is scattering a bunch of flase pretensions to a bunch of parents,who are actually believing it. I read Harry Potter for my fun time,and just because I like it,and i do NOT believe that parents should believe that Harry Potter is really influential and that they should take it away from people like us.
Yeah sure I joined this forum,but just for fun,forums are fun!So be it! Influential meaning that one day im going to wake up as a witch,and that humanity sucks,and that i should kill people thinking i did the avada kedavra curse. I mean parents these days..get a grip of yourselves.

Im sorry if i like went against your religious beliefs or anything,but I just felt like spilling it out. Feel free to argue and go against me,but I defend my beliefs fully. So go ahead,just say what you have to.
